I believe therapy works best as a safe and supportive partnership. Through a trusted therapeutic relationship, I aim to create a space where you can gain insight into the areas that may be keeping you stuck. I see every client as more than a diagnosis and strive to meet you where you are while guiding you toward meaningful change. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, college students, and young adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship struggles, and life transitions. I support clients as they navigate overwhelming emotions and worries, attention and executive functioning challenges, identity exploration, interpersonal struggles, and adapting to adulthood. Together, we’ll set goals that fit your unique needs and work to build insight, healthier patterns, and practical skills that reduce stress and support a more fulfilling life. My approach blends evidence-based therapies—including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, TF-CBT, and Structural Family Therapy—with compassion and care, tailoring strategies to each individual. I welcome feedback on which interventions you find most helpful and adapt sessions to ensure your needs are met. It’s a privilege to do this work, and I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Therapy isn’t just about getting through hard times, it’s an opportunity for you to reconnect with your own inner strength and move toward a life that feels more meaningful, grounded, and embodied. You might feel overwhelmed, stuck in a major life change, overthinking, or just tired of pretending you're okay. If that sounds familiar, you're not alone. Much of my work with clients involve exploring your thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences to deepen self awareness and support lasting change.

College can be exciting, but it can also bring an enormous amount of pressure. Academic demands, perfectionism, relationships, identity changes, being away from home, uncertainty about the future, and trying to balance everything at once can quickly become overwhelming. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of Mindful Flow Counseling & Yoga. I work with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, trauma, chronic stress, burnout, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, perfectionism, and nervous system dysregulation. I especially enjoy working with students who feel like their minds are constantly “on” — overthinking, second-guessing themselves, struggling with intrusive thoughts, worrying about making the wrong decision, or feeling pressure to keep performing even when they are exhausted. You may look like you are holding everything together on the outside while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I integrate evidence-based and mind-body approaches including EMDR, somatic therapy, cognitive and behavioral strategies for anxiety and OCD, mindfulness, parts-informed work, and trauma-informed yoga. Therapy may involve processing past experiences, learning practical tools for managing anxiety and intrusive thoughts, improving emotional regulation, reconnecting with your body, and developing a healthier relationship with yourself. I also recognize that college is a major developmental transition. Therapy can be a space to explore identity, boundaries, friendships, family relationships, dating, academic pressure, career uncertainty, and the question of who you want to become — without feeling like you have to have everything figured out already. My goal is not simply to help you cope from week to week. I want therapy to help you understand the patterns keeping you stuck, build skills you can actually use outside of session, and create meaningful change that carries into your relationships, academics, career, and life beyond college. If you are dealing with anxiety that will not quiet down, intrusive thoughts, trauma, perfectionism, burnout, relationship stress, or simply feeling unlike yourself, you do not have to navigate it alone. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more grounded, confident, connected, and capable of moving forward.

Hello! I am Codie Piotrowski, a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have supported clients across various settings, including schools, residential facilities, hospitals, and outpatient offices, which has allowed me to develop a flexible and compassionate approach to care. I specialize in animal-assisted therapy, using the human-animal connection as a unique and supportive way to help clients feel comfortable, engaged, and understood. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, focusing strongly on building positive therapeutic relationships and meeting each client where they are. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I am currently pursuing EMDR Certification. Many of my clients are making exciting but often daunting transitions -- either from Jr High to High School, High School to College, or whatever comes next. Change is so often viewed with anxiety and negativity. Yet, change is happening all around us every day. How can we make change a positive experience in our lives? How can we choose to change something that is not working? How can we learn and grow from a challenging experience? As a counselor, I believe my job is to create a space where clients can explore these and other topics, in a way that ultimately positively impacts their day to day lives. I have 10+ years of professional experience working with adolescents and adults in outreach and community based organizations. I have a client centered, strengths-based approach to my work that integrates Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that it is critical that the client takes an active role in the counseling process. My clients face a range of life’s challenges: depression, anxiety, peer conflict, communication, transition to college/work, enhancing self-awareness, relationship/family dynamics (separation/divorce), grief, and autism or attention deficit/executive functioning challenges. I work primarily with young adults and their families, adults, parents and couples.
