College can be one of the most exciting—and overwhelming—seasons of life. Between academic pressure, changing friendships, family expectations, relationships, and figuring out who you are, it’s easy to feel stressed, anxious, or unsure of yourself. You don’t have to navigate that alone. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience supporting teens and young adults through life’s transitions. My approach is strength-based and relationship-focused, meaning I see you as more than your stress, anxiety, or struggles. Together, we’ll build on the strengths you already have while developing practical tools to help you manage overwhelming thoughts, regulate emotions, and feel more confident in your decisions. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies to help you better understand your thought patterns, cope with stress, and respond to challenges in healthier ways. My style is laid back, supportive, and collaborative—I want therapy to feel like a safe space where you can be honest, ask hard questions, and explore who you’re becoming without judgment. Whether you’re feeling anxious about school, struggling with motivation, dealing with relationship conflict, navigating self-worth, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you as you build clarity, resilience, and confidence in this season of life.

I work with adults and teens in the often messy, in-between parts of life—when things are changing, expectations feel high, and it’s not always clear how to feel like yourself in the middle of it all. In therapy, I focus on helping you slow things down and make sense of what you’re carrying internally. This often includes patterns of overthinking, self-doubt, difficulty trusting yourself, or navigating relationships in a way that feels overwhelming or confusing. Over time, the work is about helping you feel more steady and secure in who you are, so those internal patterns don’t feel as consuming or defining. My approach is collaborative and grounded, blending mindfulness, ACT, DBT, and experiential work to help you build a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions—not just manage them. I’ve had the privilege of working in both private practice and higher levels of care, including Rogers Behavioral Health and the Renfrew Center, supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and life experiences. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, a Master’s in Human Development from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Georgetown University. My background as a former college athlete also shapes how I understand pressure, identity, and self-expectation—especially in young adulthood. More than anything, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can slow down, make sense of things, and start to feel a bit steadier in yourself.

New Reflections Counseling, P.A.
The students we work best with are often the ones who look like they are doing fine. You are getting the work done and showing up, but you are tired in a way sleep does not fix, and there is a low hum of dread that never fully goes away. Many of them were the ones who always did well before, so struggling feels like admitting something. What comes up most: anxiety that was manageable at home and is not manageable here, being far from family and not wanting to worry them, a relationship taking up more room than your classes, and family things that did not stay behind when you left. Our therapists are licensed across eleven states, so if you are at school in one and your family is in another, we can usually keep going over the breaks instead of starting over. In Tennessee, sessions are by secure video with Lisa Abrotsky, LMFT, so you can meet from anywhere in the state. Evening times are available when they open up. You do not need a diagnosis to come in.
Corisa Ricciardi, LCSW
Corisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and attachment ruptures/issues. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2020 and has worked in the trauma field in nonprofit settings since 2015. She has worked with the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, The Sexual Assault Center, and Catholic Charities of Middle Tennessee providing crisis support as well as trauma-focused treatment for children, teens, adults, and families. Corisa offers services in both English and Spanish and is licensed in Tennessee, Colorado, and Washington state. Corisa brings a sense of ease, compassion, and humor to her sessions. She offers supportive and non-judgmental observations as well as strengths-based support for her clients. She enjoys working with clients of all identities and values each person’s lived experience. Corisa’s goal is to offer a therapeutic space of connection and always aims to move at the client’s own pace to tap into the resiliency and capacity for growth that resides within them. Whether clients are wanting to grow their skills in coping with life’s many challenges, to know themselves more fully, or to seek healing from trauma, Corisa is glad to meet clients in this space and feels honored to be able to collaborate with individuals and families on their therapy journey. Corisa is an EMDR certified clinician and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SE) that is also trained in Theraplay, CPC-CBT, TF-CBT and often integrates elements of parts work (IFS), sandplay, play therapy, and other attachment, trauma-informed, and brain and body connecting approaches that best meet clients where they are. She believes that the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is an integral part of the therapeutic journey and having a good fit where clients feel safe, comfortable, and respected is of the utmost importance to her. When not in session, Corisa can be found practicing yoga at her neighborhood studio, birding in a local park, taking in a new independent film, or off exploring local restaurants and dives. Outside of that, she loves spending time outside as often as possible and is always planning her next travel destination with friends or with her partner in their built-out transit van.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in both private practice and the public school system. I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients across many backgrounds, and I especially enjoy working with college students and young adults who are navigating self-esteem, identity exploration, life transitions, and/or social anxiety. My approach blends practical coping tools with deeper self-understanding. I often incorporate personality frameworks, attachment styles, and love languages to help clients make sense of their patterns and build more meaningful connections with themselves and others. My approach incorporates techniques from evidence-based practices like Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I provide structure, coping skills, and guidance when helpful, but I see my clients as the experts of their own experiences. Together, we'll collaborate to identify your goals and shape a path forward. Your first session is a chance to finally exhale and set down some of the weight you’ve been carrying. We’ll talk through your current concerns, explore what feels most important right now, and begin shaping clear goals. If you’ve been carrying a lot, feeling stuck, or just wanting things to feel a little lighter, you’re in the right place. Let's talk.

My clients don't come to therapy to hear someone nod and agree with everything they say. That isn't worth their time or money. They want real help. They want to know "what to do" and "how to fix it" because they are struggling with depression, severe anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, suicidal thoughts, parenting issues, and other painful situations. They're looking for a true expert that they can actually talk to. I am a member of PSYPACT which means I can see clients in every state that is a member of PSYPACT. I'm also licensed in both TN and MA. I'm a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician and an expert in Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, self-harm, and oppositional adolescents. I am an Associate faculty member at Vanderbilt University and have served as a trainer and consultant for a variety of hospitals, schools, and the military. I founded and own PSYCHē, PLLC, a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT skills groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. New members can begin right away! Visit www.psychepllc.com/groups for more information about groups, meeting times, or to enroll online. Changing people's lives for the better is my life's purpose and where I get a sense of meaning. I love my job :) I look forward to meeting you.

Grace Counseling of Austin
Hi there! We are an outpatient practice offering in-person and virtual appointments. We specialize in working with those navigating the tricky terrain of growing up—dealing with friendship shifts, school pressure, big emotions, and the journey of self-discovery. Many of the clients who find us describe themselves as high-performing yet often struggling with things such as: suspected or diagnosed ADHD, chronic anxiety, burnout, and who are seeking balance amidst life's demands. Their work often centers on identity exploration, navigating interpersonal relationships, building self-esteem, developing a more compassionate relationship with their bodies and food, and adapting to life transitions. Together, we explore how anxiety shows up, how boundaries can feel empowering, and what it looks like to build relationships (with yourself and others) that feel safe, reciprocal, and genuine. Wherever you are in your life journey, we are here to come along side you and support you in the next steps. We truly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. We encourage you to reach out for a consultation call to determine how we can best support you and answer any questions you might have about the therapy process.

The people I work with are often insightful and have already put a lot of energy into figuring things out, but insight alone hasn’t created the change they want. You may be dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, performance pressure, the impact of difficult or traumatic experiences, life transitions, or patterns that no longer feel useful. Sometimes you just realize you’re ready for something to be different. My style tends to be a fit for people who are open to thinking differently and are okay with coloring outside the lines.

Everyone deserves support, however they arrive — color-coded planner in hand or running five minutes late with coffee spilled down their shirt. Anxious, calm, talkative, quiet, existentially confused — you’re welcome here. The bigger question is really: Am I your kind of therapist? You might read my profile and think, “She gets me,” or, “Why is she so emotionally invested in foxes and axolotls?” Either way, I promise I’m still licensed. I’m an LPC-MHSP, LCPC with over nine years of experience. I mainly work with PTSD, OCD, DV/SA, and BPD. I also see a range of other concerns—because humans are complex, and the universe did not consult the DSM before handing out life experiences. People usually open up more when they don’t feel pressure to perform or deliver a TED Talk about their feelings. Autonomy matters to me. You get to ask questions, collaborate on your treatment, and arrive exactly as you are — glamorously put-together or held together by three bobby pins and sheer willpower. If you need to laugh, cry, swear, or take a strategic pause while your soul hits “buffering,” that’s part of the process. Life gets messy… it's real and unfiltered. *** I schedule by appt so I do not have posted hours. Please just reach out. I am flexible!

As a trauma-informed psychotherapist, I have repeatedly seen the benefits of targeting trauma directly in a consistent way. Supported by research, dealing with the most distressing incident(s) can more efficiently help you become more present in your life, enjoy things you had before, and create a future you want. My approach is supportive and goal-oriented, and I am here to help you in this journey. I focus on individual treatment. I enact treatments of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Written Exposure Therapy (WET). I also use Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Relationships (STAIR) to address trauma-related symptoms without targeting trauma. The goal of my practice is to strengthen individuals to help them create long-lasting positive effects in their lives.

There are so many things outside of our control that are inevitably difficult to cope with. Even with the unforeseen situations and stressors that life throws our way, the one thing we do have control over is the way we respond to them. However, it is difficult to know how to respond when we are experiencing fear, anxiety, and other heightened emotions. I want to help people strengthen their coping capabilities in an environment that is open, non-judgmental, and collaborative. My goal is to provide support to individuals, couples, and families tackling every day and life stressors with more confidence, hope, self-empowerment. I have been working in mental health for 5 years and have over 5,800 hours of supervised and specialized experience with OCD, anxiety, and ED. I use CBT, ACT, ERP, BA, and DBT Skills to treat a variety of disorders including OCD, skin picking, hair pulling, hoarding, phobias, BDD, GAD, social anxiety, panic, depression, eating disorders, and others. I am a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH) and a multi-state licensed professional counselor including Tennessee (LPC-MHSP), Kentucky (LPCC), Illinois (LCPC), Oklahoma (LPC), and FL. I currently live in the Chicago area and provide professional counseling to individuals in ALL FIVE states via TeleMental Health services. I look forward to connecting with you!
