Elliot Counseling
I am an LPC with professional experience including over five years as a therapist and five years working in residential treatment settings, serving populations ranging from adolescents to the elderly. I operate from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, but also utilize positive psychology, systemic, and solution-focused theories. I have worked with a range of clients, including offenders, individuals struggling with substance abuse issues, families, couples, groups, and individual clients. Finally, I have a strong desire to provide counseling services to veterans and their families, given my family history of military service. My style is collaborative, intentional, and forward-focused. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other theoretical strategies to assist clients in establishing more effective patterns of thought and behavior. I also enjoy helping clients explore larger concepts as needed. I enjoy working with clients to establish healthier life patterns and experience positive life changes.
Kailey McCabe Therapy, LLC
You may look like you have it all together yet inside you feel anxious, exhausted, or like you’re never “enough.” The need to be “perfect”, frequent memories of past traumatic experiences, or challenges navigating unfulfilling relationships may have left you feeling disconnected from yourself and who you believe you truly are. You want to feel present, more confident, and at peace with yourself - to stop just “surviving” and start healing. My approach is rooted in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies, aiming to help release the emotional charge of painful memories while gaining greater self-awareness, compassion, and balance. Together, we’ll work to heal old wounds, quiet self-doubt, and cultivate a more grounded, fulfilling life. You don’t have to carry the weight of “having it all together” anymore. In doing the work, you can reconnect with your strength and rediscover peace within yourself. If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. Healing can begin with one courageous step.

Therapy is by, for and about you and your health and well-being. I do not set expectations for you, we identify your goals together. Call or email for an initial, free consultation if you'd like to talk more about possibly working together! I look forward to meeting you!
Katherine Hammond Holtz
I enjoy working with individuals who are interested in promoting well-being in themselves and in relation to others. Mindfulness instruction is available as a key component of my therapy should this focus be desired. Studies have shown that a regular practice of mindfulness supports an enriched experience of life, feelings of well being, better ability to cope with stress and pain, reduced panic, anxiety, and fear and better concentration. While my private practice setting is refreshing and tranquil with views of trees and birds, I currently only offer tele-health, accessible from the comfort of your own home or office. A mindfulness practitioner since 1986, I began developing the application of mindfulness for specialty disorders in 1997 for clients (anxiety, panic, Attention Deficit Disorders, concussion, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, and other cognitive and neurological disorders). This work has been highly successful and rewarding. I am a warm and caring professional who spends the time required with each client. I am a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher and ordained by Teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. I offer neuropsychological assessment of learning and attention disorders for children and adults and day long mindfulness workshops and groups. Neuropsychological and Academic testing does accommodations is currently suspended until further notice due to COVID-19.

I have over 15 years of experience working with students at the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, Duquesne, and Purdue University. I enjoy working with graduate and non-traditional students who: ~ are going through life transitions, like starting graduate school or preparing for what comes after graduation ~ want support for decision-making around career/academic focus ~ want to figure out how to have healthy, satisfying relationships with family, friends, and/or a partner ~ are interested in interfaith/interracial dialog, the acculturation process, and multicultural concerns ~ cope with a health problem, disability, or a body-focused repetitive behavior (like skin picking, hair pulling, or other BFRB) ~ are learning intuitive eating and ways to care for their physical body ~ want support for grief and loss ~ feel anxious, depressed, or stressed out ~ have panic and/or anxiety symptoms Together, we’ll explore what matters to you the most and address your concerns. In this process, you can decide if and what changes you want to make. And you can do it at a pace and in ways that fit you best. My clients describe me as warm, respectful, and able to tailor therapy to their unique circumstances. My relationship centered integrated approach combines: ~ Humanistic/Person-Centered ~ Gestalt, Mindfulness, and Mind-Body ~ Experiential and Expressive Therapies ~ Empirically-Supported/Research-Based Treatments ~ CBT--Cognitive Behavior Therapy ~ DBT--Dialectical Behavior Therapy ~ ComB--Comprehensive Behavior Therapy and Habit Rehearsal Training for body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) ~ EMDR--Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ~ Other approaches as indicated, like motivational interviewing and the transtheoretical approach to change. One of the things that characterizes my work as a psychologist is that I am also a National Board Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR). I know first-hand what it takes to go back to school and change careers. After studying and working as an occupational therapist for several years, I decided to expand my skills and expertise by becoming a psychologist. My varied professional experiences share some commonalities and have allowed me to develop my interest in listening, understanding people, being present and mindful, seeing people from a holistic perspective, and exploring what gives meaning to life. While I don’t know the specific challenges you are facing, I know first-hand some of the pressures that face graduate students, traditional, and non-traditional students. I’d be curious to hear what you are facing. I would like to offer you a free phone consultation so that we can determine if we are a good therapeutic match. You can contact me by phone or email to set up a time to speak. I make every effort to protect your privacy. I work primarily with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, and general life stressors. I have many years of experiencing working at different universities in the Pittsburgh area, which is helpful to my work with students as I am particularly knowledgeable about resources, common stressors students at each school experience, and how best to navigate university systems when you are struggling emotionally. I am experienced in supporting international, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ students. I have a warm, conversational style, and am adept at helping students gain skills and discover tools for managing their emotional struggles at the pace that works best for them.

Sometimes life is difficult to navigate and it is hard to understand why. Having an objective person who can offer compassionate insight can help to work through areas of your life that keep you from enjoying and living the life you wish for. Manifest Psychotherapy & Wellness is a group practice that offers support for difficulties that come with life transitions, anxiety/depression, trauma, grief & loss, LGBTQ related issues, and relationship issues. If you are experiencing hardship or you just need a place to process life in a supportive environment, we are here to help. We offer two main types of therapy, Talk therapy and EMDR Therapy which is used to process things like blocking beliefs, fears, and difficult experiences that interfere enjoyment and satisfaction of life. Vince and Tara are both EMDRIA trained EMDR therapists and are trauma informed. Our practice is also an ally of the LGBTQ community.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. Whether you're feeling stuck, anxious, grieving, questioning your identity, or overwhelmed by life transitions, therapy can be a space to slow down and reconnect with yourself. I work with college students, professionals, and adults—especially those in the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities—who are seeking deeper insight, relief, and a renewed sense of meaning. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I bring a trauma-informed, relational approach to our work, integrating elements of psychodynamic therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I’ll help you explore how past experiences may still be showing up in the present and support you in making empowered, values-based choices for your future. Clients often come to me for support with anxiety, trauma, identity concerns, grief, depression, relationship issues, and career struggles. I offer virtual therapy to clients located in Pennsylvania and any PsyPact participating state. If you're ready to begin—or even just curious about what therapy might look like—I invite you to reach out. Let's see if we're a good fit.

You didn’t ask for this—whether it’s a major life change, a new mental health diagnosis, or that frustrating sense of being stuck in the same loop over and over. You may be navigating something unfamiliar: a shift in your identity, a change in your relationships, or a diagnosis that’s left you overwhelmed, confused, or doubting yourself. Maybe you’ve noticed patterns that no longer serve you but haven’t been able to break free from them. You want to feel in control again—or maybe for the first time. And while you might hate what you’re feeling right now, some part of you is ready to figure it out. That’s where I come in. Our work together is collaborative. I’ll meet you with curiosity, honesty, and care—helping you connect the dots, challenge stuck narratives, and build something new. We’ll explore how past experiences might be shaping the present, how your diagnosis fits into the bigger picture, and what tools will actually help you feel more like you again. My clients are open to the therapy process, even when it's hard. They want clarity, relief, and a sense of mastery over their mental health—not just symptom relief, but true understanding. If you’re ready to start, reach out. We can talk about where you are, where you want to be, and how we can get there—together.
