I truly believe that everyone has the capacity to grow when they’re in a space that feels safe and accepting. At the heart of my work is building a genuine, trusting connection with you—because real healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, understood, and accepted. Together, we’ll create a warm and welcoming space where vulnerability is embraced and self-exploration feels comfortable. Above all, I’m here to hold space for you with kindness and openness, honoring your unique needs, passions, experiences, wisdom, and hopes for the future. Specializations I’m especially passionate about supporting adults who grew up with caregivers who, for various reasons, may not have met their emotional needs.Together, we work to heal from those early experiences, find your true voice, clarify what matters most to you, and create a life that feels authentic, grounded, and free. I work with clients ages 15 and up to navigate challenges related to: Childhood relational trauma, emotionally immature parents, & unmet emotional needs Relationship patterns, boundaries, people-pleasing, & guilt Exploring identity, values, & personal growth Identity diffusion & enmeshment Shame, self-doubt, & indecisiveness Life transitions & emerging adulthood Grief & loss Anxiety, depression, & low self-worth Emotional regulation & distress tolerance Could We be a Good Fit? Clients who tend to do well with me often appreciate a little lightheartedness or humor during our sessions and enjoy putting what we talk about into practice between meetings—sometimes through small homework or weekly goals. Many have found it helpful to bring their creative interests into our work, which helps us build a space where you can feel safe, inspired, and free to be your authentic self. I’ve also noticed that adolescents, young adults, and college students often feel especially comfortable and connected in our time together. Therapeutic Approaches My approach to therapy is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with curiosity and work toward making the changes you’d like to see in yourself. For those who resonate with this approach, I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support compassionate exploration of your inner parts. I also use a person-centered and trauma-informed lens, honoring the impact of your life experiences and creating a space where all parts of you are welcome. While CBT and IFS are my go-to methods, I like to keep things flexible, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to tailor our work to what feels right for you. My hope is that you find a space in therapy that feels human, welcoming, and uniquely yours. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect and explore how we can work together in a way that supports your growth. I currently offer teletherapy sessions at River Wards Wellness Collective. Eating disorders rarely develop in isolation. Often, they begin as brilliant adaptations; ways of coping with overwhelming emotions, painful relationships, unmet attachment needs, or experiences that have felt difficult to carry alone. While these patterns may have once helped you survive, they can eventually leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, your body, and your relationships. Healing begins with understanding your story before trying to change it and honoring the ways you've learned to survive while creating space for new experiences of safety, connection, and self-compassion. My approach is person-centered, relational, and attachment-focused. I am an Inclusive Eating Disorder Specialist (IEDS) and am fully trained in EMDR. I integrate EMDR, ACT, DBT, RO-DBT, parts work, and psychodynamic therapy into my work with clients. My practice is anti-diet and grounded in Health at Every Size (HAES). I believe healing happens in relationship. The therapeutic relationship can become a place where new experiences of safety, trust, and connection begin to take root. Whether you're struggling with restriction, binge eating, purging, body image distress, or the lasting impact of trauma, you don’t have to navigate recovery alone.

Rachel Noderer
My name is Rachel Noderer and I have spent the past 10 years helping individuals develop a stronger sense of compassion for themselves and mastery over their own identity. I work with folks who may be struggling with a lack of purpose, low self esteem, anxiety, or difficulty managing relationships with friends and loved ones. As we work together, my hope is that you will gradually feel more centered in your sense of self. You'll feel like you are making decisions more thoughtfully and that you are acting in accordance with your values. While I tailor my specific therapeutic interventions to meet your needs, my preference is for a conversational non-directive approach to explore and discover underlying patterns that may be influencing your experiences. I am a person-centered therapist first and foremost - which means I prioritize placing you and all of your intersecting identities at the center of the story. You are the expert in your own life and I'm here to walk beside you, provide feedback, and most importantly provide you the space you need to figure things out. Therapy with me may feel like sitting down with a friend who is your biggest cheerleader. I value curiosity, humor, and reflection in therapy and I strive to create lots of space for those qualities in our work together. I am queer-affirming, trans-affirming, sex-positive, and believe in practicing Health at Every Size. I also have experience in and am comfortable working with individuals in the kink/BDSM community as well as individuals practicing consensual non-monogamy.

Therapy is a space where you can build awareness about yourself and learn to navigate challenging obstacles in your life. It is a mechanism that can enable you to identify areas for improvement, develop strengths and foster personal growth. My ideal client is someone who is open minded and willing to engage in the therapeutic process. I have experience helping clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, substance use, motivation, serious & persistent mental illness and interpersonal and work-related stressors.
Holding Space and Grace
Reach out if you have experienced a loss or difficult transition if you are struggling to set boundaries or express your needs, if you are struggling with difficult emotions or if you just aren’t feeling like yourself. It is our goal to support you in exploring your experiences, releasing things that you may have been carrying, setting goals you want to achieve, and identifying patterns and beliefs that are creating barriers. Our role as therapists is to provide a safe, judgment-free, and confidential space for you to process vulnerable thoughts and emotions. Our approach is person-centered and focuses on building a supportive relationship while using cognitive behavioral theory as a framework. We specialize in trauma therapy and work with individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. Some of the modalities used include EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Let us help you to know and be present with yourself.
In Real Time Wellness
Anxiety is complicated - its like the house guest that shows up unannounced and doesn't know when to leave. Anxiety can sabotage picture perfect moments and sometimes prevent opportunities from even getting off the ground. Other times, it allows us to recognize when we're in danger and helps us spring into action. How do you know when anxiety is serving you well or setting you up? My clients often seek therapy to manage anxiety because they no longer want anxiety taking them by surprise. They want to manage their anxiety in a healthy way, so that they can enjoy their lives. Together, we work towards creating a game plan that works best for you to achieve anxiety relief. Anxiety can go unnoticed for a long-time, especially in a college setting where high-performance is expected. We will talk about how high-functioning anxiety shows up in your life. Procrastination and avoidance paired with perfectionism is a winning combination for someone to misallocate their energy and efforts and burnout in the process. If this rings true to you, I would be honored to chat with you about I can help you live your life with a little more ease.
