Transformative Therapy & Coaching
Transformative Therapy & Coaching is a group practice in Colorado Springs offering neurodivergent-affirming therapy for teens, college students, and young adults. We specialize in ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and the big transitions that come with college and early adulthood. Our clinicians draw on IFS, DBT, CBT, EMDR, and Brainspotting to work with how each student's brain actually works. We offer telehealth anywhere in Colorado with plenty of evening appointments, so therapy fits around class and work. Weekly and ongoing sessions are available for students who need more support than short-term care provides. We accept most Colorado insurance, including Anthem/Blue Cross, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, and traditional Colorado Medicaid, and provide superbills for out-of-network plans. Students can book a free 15-minute consult online.

I welcome individuals from all backgrounds. I prioritize working with any and all women, girls, members of the Queer and Trans communities, and expecting parents, ages 15+. As a cisgender white woman I am aware of the privileges I hold and I honor the perspectives, backgrounds, and lived experiences of my clients. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic process and therefore will ask for your input in goal-setting and treatment planning conversations. I will at times offer clinical guidance, but not before hearing what it is you are seeking and hoping to gain from your therapy experience. My work is trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based, aimed at co-creating strong therapeutic rapport. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Mindfulness and Grounding, and Therapeutic Art. Through each of these interventions, I aim to strengthen and empower your voice and provide a safe space to be who you are, without judgment and without expectation.
Abound Counseling and Wellness
If anxiety, intrusive thoughts, OCD, phobias or depressive thoughts take up too much space in your life, I will work with you to uncover their sources. You can establish and engage in useful coping skills that will allow you to spend less time battling your thoughts and more time living the life you want. If you're a couple struggling with relationship concerns, I will work with you to restore harmony in your relationship and strengthen your connection. I aim to provide a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore their emotions, while also feeling comfortable and validated when sharing experiences, thoughts and behaviors. I practice using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as well as self-compassion and mindfulness techniques. Gottman Method Couples Therapy informs my work with couples. If you choose therapy as a next step, I would be honored to work with you and support you in your journey of self-growth and healing! I am originally from California, but have called Colorado (Denver) my home for the last thirteen years. While I do miss the ocean, I love being in the mountains and all they have to offer. When I am not working, I am often playing in my garden, doing something in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family, or traveling. I am the same person during session as I am outside of session; laid back, a little goofy, genuinely curious about others’ lives, and compassionate. I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and am licensed to see clients in Colorado, Indiana, Florida and Nevada. I have been practicing therapy since 2013 and truly enjoy working with my clients. I love learning about how trauma and stress can impact our minds, bodies and nervous systems and the ways we can heal and start to feel better. I am a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist as well as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I often use a mixture of EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), attachment, parts focused, and mindfulness techniques to help clients begin to unpack stressful or traumatic events and begin to integrate a sense of healing back into their minds and bodies. These techniques can be helpful for clients struggling with anxiety and depression symptoms, who have experienced one or more traumatic events, substance use, emotion regulation, or uncomfortable body sensations.

Marci Brewer
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience, I fully appreciate the importance of finding the right match with a therapist who can offer a compassionate and professional approach to navigating life's challenges. I embrace what may be very painful difficulties as opportunities for positive growth and problem solving, while holding sacred the courage and curiosity it takes to embark upon a very personal therapeutic journey. Being a student inevitably includes personal transformation and growth, not to mention stress and the need for problem solving skills! Getting support, be it brief in nature, or for longer-term emotional regulation, can be invaluable during times of such transition. I offer particular expertise in such areas as: treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, healing from past abuse/victimization (particularly sexual abuse), and EMDR Therapy, in addition to addressing life transitions, the impacts of social injustice and oppression, and overall stress management and relationship restoration.

Mia Carrasco-Songer
We are always changing, learning, and growing. Our bodies are wired with an innate capacity for and draw towards this growth. If you are feeling stuck, sad, anxious, angry, or lost you are in the right place. In therapy we will work together to create the conditions to allow that growth process to unfold. That may be learning skills, processing emotions or events, or practicing new ways of being. I believe deeply in the unique gifts of each of my clients and we’ll work by identifying places of stuckness and leveraging the strengths and resources that are already a part of who you are towards the growth you are longing for. Growth, like any other change, can be scary, exciting, messy, and sometimes confusing. Working with me you will have a safe place to explore the twists and turns of your journey, knowing you don't have to do this alone. I am a therapist with experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment wounding, and suicidality. I have worked in outdoor therapeutic settings and crisis response. I work with LGBTQ2IA+ and trans/non-binary folks in their journeys with sexuality and gender. And I operate with a lens of systemic oppression and community healing, using both cognitive and body-based frameworks. I work with adults, young adults, and teens.
Margaret Matthews
I am a social work intern with a particular interest in supporting people who have experienced trauma and are navigating grief, loss, death and dying, or terminal illness. In our work together, I hope to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you can process difficult experiences, make meaning of what you're going through, and identify ways to move forward that align with your values and needs. I value working collaboratively with patients who are open to exploring their experiences and engaging in the therapeutic process at a pace that feels right for them. Curiosity and openness are important to how I approach my work, which is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll discover what matters to you and identify goals that feel meaningful and right for you. Working together, you can expect a compassionate, accepting, and nonjudgmental environment that incorporates trauma-informed and somatic approaches to help you explore past experiences, connect with your emotions and bodily experiences, build self-understanding, and identify ways to move forward. Ensuring you feel heard and where your feedback helps guide our work, as does a warm, curious, and responsive style focused on your unique goals and needs. My path toward becoming a therapist was shaped by supporting people close to me as they faced terminal illness. During those experiences, I learned the value of simply being present and offering care, compassion, and space for someone's feelings without trying to fix what couldn’t be fixed. I also discovered an ability to stay grounded alongside others during painful moments while honoring that their experience was their own. This has deepened my commitment to providing a warm, accepting, and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and less alone as you navigate life's challenges. When I'm not working, I enjoy yoga, biking, taking long walks, skiing, and reading. I'm also an aspiring stand-up comedian and appreciate the connection and perspective that humor can bring. As a lifelong learner, I'm continually curious about new ideas, and am especially interested in exploring Buddhism and its teachings on mindfulness and compassion.

Jenna Arbogast
As an insight-oriented therapist I operate from the belief that the more we understand about where we have been, the more control we have in where we are going. I take a client-centered approach to therapy, encouraging my clients to bring in what feels most important to them each week. When working with clients, my first priority is establishing a secure, authentic relationship that meets the needs of each individual. We work together to identify patterns of how you relate to yourself and others. We explore where they came from and the purpose they serve in your life. This allows you to identify what you want to change, and together we work to create a life that aligns with who you are.
