Abigail Spencer
My role in our work together is to help you look deeper into your most pressing problems, and to assist you in working towards solutions that fit your life. I am happy to consult with you for just a few sessions, or to spend more time digging down to the roots of your struggles. I am passionate about helping you get unstuck from difficult patterns or situations, through coaching in relational skills, coping, and emotion regulation. I have seventeen years of experience with psychotherapy and brief therapeutic interventions, in public high schools and at the University of Colorado counseling center, as well as in private practice. I am trained in numerous modalities of treatment (see my website for more info.) I look forward to the opportunity to support you and strategize with you as you move towards a more authentic and grounded way of being in the world. My style is collaborative, warm, and empowering. Give me a call and we can discuss your needs and see whether working together would be a good fit.

You’re doing your best to manage, but something still feels stuck. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, painful past experiences, relationship struggles, or neurodivergence, these challenges can feel overwhelming. You’re tired of just getting by and want relief, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose and stability. Through therapy, we'll explore how past experiences shape present dynamics and create space for decisions rooted in intentionality. You’re not interested in surface-level fixes—you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, shift long-standing patterns, and feel more grounded and connected in your life and relationships. I offer insight therapy that helps build resilience, deepen emotional awareness, and encourage healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. Together, we create a supportive space for reflection and growth, guiding you toward meaningful change and greater well-being. My approach is warm, intuitive, and genuine—rooted in curiosity, trust, and openness. Starting therapy is a courageous step toward clarity and self-understanding. I offer a compassionate, attentive space where every part of you is welcomed—including the parts you're still making sense of or learning to embrace. If you're ready to open yourself to authentic change, I invite you to reach out. We can begin that transformation, together.

Welcome! I work with teens and young adults ages 16+ who are in all phases of the college/university process. I meet with individuals, couples, and families, and I like to work with clients across time. I am eager to have conversations with you as you sort through complicated feelings, try out new ways of being, or just get to be vulnerable for a bit. I will help you gain a more profound understanding of your experience, a deeper connection with self and others, and a recognition of your values and beliefs, so that you can ask for and have the rich life and meaningful relationships you want and deserve.

As a therapist, I offer insight-oriented therapy, which includes deep self-reflection, exploration of your hopes and goals, and artistic exploration. My practice focuses on attachment work, which helps people to strengthen their connection with their truth and authenticity. Being true to ourselves leads to greater self-worth, intuition, empathy, and better relationships. We can more confidently pursue our passions and purpose, and be more clear on our next steps in life. Young adults often see me to address the transition to college or graduation from college. Others are dealing with difficult family dynamics, including situations where their identities or life choices are not accepted or respected by family members. Some are seeking guidance as they develop their professional identity and consider their life trajectory. Others are healing from trauma, including sexual assault or abuse. The tools I draw on when working with young adults include talk therapy and EMDR—and I also find mediums like sand tray and art therapy to be useful. I offer sessions in-office or nature-based. You may be struggling with worry or navigating new experiences. Perhaps a recent or older traumatic experience is impacting your life and it can be debilitating. You may feel alone and worried about whether or not you will ever have relief. Oftentimes, you might feel isolated from those you care for; feel lost and uncertain; unsure if you can have a quality life. You can navigate this with a therapist who is able to build a strong therapeutic relationship anchored in trust and safety. I have been able to help many as they embark upon a journey of health addressing some of their greatest fears in order to improve their standard of life and grapple with the anxiety and trauma holding them back. Also, I am a black queer therapist if you are looking for representation in your care.

My passion is helping others to manage their stress, anxiety, and depression. I help adults and teens achieve balance and flow in their life through therapy and mindfulness training. I believe in working with people from where they are in life. Each one of us intuitively knows what we need in order to work through life's struggles. Through mindfulness, self-inquiry, being outdoors, and moving our bodies, I can help you to find more peace and stillness in a time of stress and intensity. Believing that you already have everything you need to get through the difficult times in your life is essential. Offerings: Multi-Modality Coaching & Talk Therapy Using different modalities (CBT, mindfulness therapy, coaching) I facilitate a deeper sense of self-awareness and understanding, enabling you to get unstuck, find a deeper sense of peace, and reach your peak performance. Movement-Based Nature Therapy We will move together outside and connect in a therapeutic relationship. Are you a woman working through early recovery and building toward a thriving life, or a hospice patient or family member searching for meaning and peace at the end of life? As a Master of Social Work student, these are the experiences I've spent the last few years navigating with patients. Compassion, honesty, and kindness are central to my approach, and I am dedicated to offering all of these to strengthen our work together. My experience with addiction, grief, end-of-life care, and meditation has helped me develop a well-rounded approach that prioritizes acceptance, patience, and mindfulness. Helping women meet loss, fear, and pain, while also holding deep reverence for the beauty in their lives, is something I'm passionate about. Working together, you can expect a calm, accepting environment that welcomes all parts of you. I honor you as the expert of your life, and look forward to walking alongside you on your unique journey. The loss of my mother in 2023 marked the beginning of my path to social work. Following in her footsteps, I began working with women in early recovery from addiction, and eventually interned with a hospice agency through my MSW program. These experiences deepened both my admiration for her and my understanding of addiction, death, grief, and the healing process. My own experiences with pain and healing, both personally and professionally, allow me to center compassion in each session with you. Art is one of my greatest loves. I find joy in creative expression, often working with pen, watercolor, and acrylic paint. Staying active brings me just as much joy, and I love to trail run, hike, and meditate. Cats have my whole heart, and I'm brand new to snowboarding.
Emma Sartwell
I work with the body and the nervous system to integrate difficult experiences and regulate ourselves from the bottom up. I love to work with the inner critic (aka self-criticism), the inner child (aka reactivity), and trauma (big and small). I am passionate about helping people get to know themselves, not just find a quick fix for symptoms.
