Bay Area Clinical Associates
We give young adults a safe space to explore what it means to become a grown, responsible adult. We help identify what’s important to them, visualize a healthy, productive future, and work with them to develop the tools to achieve both their daily goals and their big-picture goals for life. Each person has a unique concept of what a healthy and productive future looks like. We work with our young adult patients to help them discover that for themselves. Young adults having problems getting started in life – the failure to launch syndrome – and college students trying to find their way are ideally suited to benefit from our young adult IOP. The transition from adolescence to adulthood can be intimidating. For a person with a significant mental health disorder, it may feel overwhelming. We get that, one hundred percent. We’re patient, compassionate, and understanding. We help patients who feel lost find themselves. We help patients who feel scared develop the confidence and strength to move forward and face the challenges of life – and adulthood – head-on. We prioritize finding joy in life and creating a daily routine which, over time, creates the foundation for a healthy and productive future.

I graduated from Alliant International University in Los Angeles with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Melony Burns. LCSW, LICSW
Developmental trauma (experiences as we grow, including our family of origin) shapes how we see the world, sometimes unsafe and challenging to navigate. Our attachments are the foundations in which we trust or find conflict. Developmental trauma may manifest in the body as anxiety, stress, distress, relationship difficulties, depression and more. There is healing to be found here, to be understood and nourished. Well done on the first step in a journey toward wellness. The most important aspect of therapy is finding a person who makes you feel safe and heard. I look forward to collaborating. I have training and experience in working with trauma, family of origin/generational cycles, attachment disruptions, complicated grief and loss, sexuality, sex work and with LGBTQAI+ persons. I love working through emotions, trauma and somatic experiencing. I am Level I Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy trained. I enjoy working with and understanding folx from their perspective; I work with singles, couples, non-monogamous consensual relationships and families. I provide a safe, unassuming space in which you can find felt safety. I appreciate the eclectic person you are and would like to help you identify your own cracks, so that you can let your own light in. That’s So Well
Online or in-person, this is designated for individuals to process and explore their feelings, thoughts and beliefs. Typically, meetings are weekly or bi-weekly. This is a great option if you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues. I help millennials and young adults explore the challenges in their life and find ways to more effectively manage feelings that are no longer serving them. I have worked with a lot of different populations in my career but I really love working with young professionals, undergraduate, and graduate students.
Lasting Connections Therapy
How many times a day do you daydream of dropping everything? Only to quickly be overcome with anxiety and frustration thinking of how everyone and everything will fall apart without you. Let’s face it—if you did take a break, the same issues would still be there, and there might be even more waiting for you. This is just one sign, among others, of burnout and a good example of an opportunity to learn the art of setting boundaries and saying “no” to others while saying “yes” to yourself. This is where therapy comes in! Many believe that therapy is only for the broken or the traumatized. False. Therapy is for anyone seeking to live more fully, love more deeply, think more clearly, and feel more like the 'you' you have been missing. In therapy you will have a safe space to reconnect with yourself and learn how to say “no” with confidence. Like my clients, you deserve to put yourself first without worrying about letting down your partner, kids, friends, or boss. Feeling peaceful and fulfilled without the guilt is not out of your reach!

Sweet Oak Therapy
In times of change and stress, it's totally normal to feel a bit anxious and overwhelmed. We might find ourselves feeling a bit lost or just going through the motions without much joy or meaning. You might find yourself not being the person that you want to be, feeling completely lost in a new environment, or struggling to adjust to some current transitions in your life. You hold within yourself the resources to move forward into a more fulfilled, joyful, and peaceful life where you feel in control and like you have the tools you need to manage challenges that come up. Sharing your journey with others, allowing them to witness both your joys and struggles as you navigate transitions, can be transformative. Together, we can explore and uncover the resilience and strength within you to foster a more meaningful and joyful life.

Heidi Aronson LMFT
Is there something you've always hesitated to say out loud, because if you did, nothing would stay the same? Or… Like in that serenity prayer, are you looking for the difference between what you can change and what you have to accept? Serenity's hard to come by in these ominous times, and certainty can be fleeting. This is your one shot here, so claim your place, speak your truth. Let’s figure out what you need and what you already have, so you can accept yourself even when it’s hard, and participate fully in your own life. What you believe is your Kryptonite may also be the root of your superpower. I'd even bet on it. Therapy with me can be talky, weepy, big laughs, companionable silence. It's my job to understand your world as YOU see it. I’m devoted to helping you figure out how you feel—and what to do—about what matters most in your life. I'll be listening for the stories you carry around in your head, and whether they're kind, whether they serve or oppress you. My default position is to accept and support you as you are, without judgment. We’ll make use of my training, life experience, imagination and intellect to gain perspective on your relationships, past, and present. We’ll experiment with ways for you to manage difficult emotions, feel compassion toward yourself and others, and live with integrity and purpose.
